An outdoor LED screen is a high-brightness digital display that shows full-color images with an excellent viewing angle, even outside in the sun. It’s intended to be rain, snow, and other extreme weather resistant, perfect for outdoor use.
The most important features of an outdoor LED billboard are that they work together to provide high visual performance. These are:
Outdoor screens are typically more than 5000 nits in the daytime, adjustable for nighttime. Some specialized models are up to 10000 cd/m².
Outdoor LED screens can be mounted in various ways depending on location and application:
It has two major modes of access: front service and rear service.
Front service maintenance enables you to fix LED modules from the front of the screen. It’s mostly utilized for wall-mount installation.
Back servicing provides access at the back of the screen and is widely employed in areas where sufficient space is available behind the indoor LED panel.
You can control the outdoor LED screen in various ways to suit various needs and circumstances.
Plug a computer into the controller via HDMI or DVI, and then plug the controller into the LED screen via a network cable for real-time updating.
For mobile flexibility, Wi-Fi or 4G/5G of a phone or iPad can be connected to the controller, and then the controller controls the LED screen using a network cable
Supports Internet remote control in which a computer or phone is connected to a cloud platform that communicates with the controller via 4G/5G/LAN/Wi-Fi, and then controls the LED screen by means of a network cable.
The size of the outdoor LED screen may be very large or very small, depending on the installation location, even to a single module.
In general, an outdoor LED video wall can be sized in two ways: by LED modules and by cabinets.

1. Environment of Use:
Indoor LED screens are used in stable environments like shopping malls, conference rooms, and cinemas, where they do not have to endure rain or extreme temperature changes, so their need for ruggedness is less.
Outdoor LED panels are designed with harsh weather conditions like rain, sunlight, temperature, and dust in their considerations. They are more oriented towards stability and durability to perform better under adverse conditions.
2. Display Performance:
Indoor screens are more interested in color vividness and details with higher resolution and higher color saturation.
Outdoor screens are high brightness (5000–10000 nits) and high contrast for daylight visibility.
3. Technical Specifications:
Indoor LED displays utilize narrow pixel pitches (e.g., P0.9, P1.2, P1.5, P1.8, P2.5, P3) for extremely high definition and high details.
